Melanie qualified Magna Cum Lauda, with distinction, from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa with a Masters degree in Chiropractic (MTech: Chiropractic). As a final year student, she was awarded the Academic Excellence award for obtaining the highest marks over her 6 years of study, the Ross Potgieter Practical Award for practical excellence during her Masters Year and she received the Mario Milano CASA Excellence Award for her contributions to the student body and the profession. As a practitioner, she has a family practice with a focus on prevention and rehabilitation of injures. She is trained in the diversified chiropractic technique. Her practice goal is to empower patients by providing them with the individual tools needed to control their own health and wellbeing.

Melanie has worked as a sports chiropractor on numerous local and international sporting events around South Africa, including the ‘Cape Epic’ in 2015 and the inaugural the ‘Arnold Classic Africa’ weightlifting championships in 2016.

Melanie treats both humans and animals and is a registered animal chiropractor with a postgraduate diploma from the International Academy for Veterinary Chiropractic.
